The end of summer is here.  We start school back this week.  Gone are the late nights and lazy mornings.  (Audible sigh here).  While I am looking forward to a bit more free time, I am not looking forward to the routine.  If you are a mom, you know what I mean:  the lunch making, the begging to get dressed, the nagging about homework and the non-stop taxi service. 

While we are really good about making sure that our little (and big) kids get the things that they need to start the school year off right, we often forget that we need a little back to school love too.  I have compiled a few back to school essentials that every mom needs in their life.

I don’t know about you, but I have been REALLY enjoying sleeping in and having a lazy start to the day.  Waking up at 5:45 will be a shock to my system for sure.  I learned about this miracle product from my ladies at Nordstrom.  It is a wonderful way to not only hide those dark circles under your eyes, but it somehow magically gives your eyes a little lift.  It is worth every penny!

I just purchased one of these ponchos for myself.  It folds up and fits in the seat pocket in my car.  It is perfect for those unexpected rainy days.  Lately, I have gotten a lot of use out of it!

With lack of sleep comes lack of brain power (maybe it is age).  Either way, I love the little natural boost that I get from a daily dose of B12.  It not only increases your energy but it boosts your brain power.

I am always trying cram as much into the school day as possible.  Many times, I don’t make time for a proper lunch.  I always make sure that I have a Luna bar in my bag for those hunger emergencies.  While I love most of the flavors, I have found the chocolate cupcake is my favorite!

I love these lipstick size phone chargers.  They take up basically no room, they are cute, and great to have when your phone battery starts to die during karate lesson.

The key to a good morning is a restful night sleep.  There is something about this silk sleep mask that magically helps me unwind and sleep.  I don’t know if it is the weight or the silk softness.  Either way, it is a must have for me!

I only have one kid, but if I didn’t have a planner I would have no idea where to be when.  I have the upmost respect for those moms with multiple little ones.  I love this planner with its yearly, monthly and weekly look at life.  It also comes with cute colorful accessories.
